Financial Assistance
In 2009, Indian Boundary YMCA awarded more than $688,000 in membership and program scholarships to help people participate in YMCA activities they couldn’t otherwise afford. It’s our goal to make our programs and services available to everyone. Please call 630.968.8400 for more information or to apply for assistance.
A waiver or reduction of fees is available subject to facility and program capacity, and demonstrated need, without regard to race, color, nationality, religion, gender, age, or disability.
Income-Based Rate Scale
At the YMCA, our goal is to encourage individual health and well-being by making our programs and services accessible to all, no matter the income level. We now use the Income-Based Rate Scale (IBRS)—which means our membership prices will be based on your household income. Just bring a copy of your federal 1040 form to the membership desk.

Annual Strong Kids Fund
Each year, Indian Boundary YMCA Board of Directors, Staff and Volunteer Campaigners undertake a campaign to raise funds in support of our membership and program scholarship program. These funds help to make it possible for us to sustain our crucial community service mission to turn no one away for inability to pay. Our 2010 goal is $140,000. Please consideration a donation to our Strong Kids fund or join us as a volunteer campaigner today!
